Sanchang Food and CAAS Institute of Crop Sciences Estab-lish Joint Innovation Center for High-Nutrition Whole Grain Research

In December 2025, Sanchang Food signed a cooperation agreernent with the Institute of Crop Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences to jointly establish a High- Nutrition Whole Crain Innovation and R&D Center. The partnership marks animportant step in advancing scientific research. product innovation, and industrial application in the whole-grain food sector.

The joint center will focus on the research and development of high-nutrition whole-grain ingredients and products, withparticular emphasis on oats and other grain crops. By combining the Institute’s strengths in crop science research withSanchang Food’s experience in food processing, quality systems, and industrial-scale manufacturing. the collaboration aims tocommercially viable, health-oriented food products. accelerate the translation of scientific research into commercially viable, health-oriented food products.

As a national leader in crop science research, the Institute of Crop Sciences plays a key role in crop genetics, breeding,nutrition evaluation, and agricultural technology innovaton. Through this partnership, both parties will work collaborativelyacross the value chain-from raw material optimization and processing technology to product formulation and quality evaluation-supporting the development of whole-grain foods with enhanced nutritional value and improved consumer acceptance.

The cooperation framework emphasizes applied researchand practical outcomes. Planned initiatives include joint researchtandardized processing solutions for whole-grain foods. The objectiveprojects, pilot-scale validation, and the development of sis to establish an integrated innovation model linking scientific research, product development, and market application.
